Welcome to the webpage for Burnie
Campus of Leighland Christian School. This Campus caters for Primary
grades from Kinder to Year 6. Located on the edge of the city of
Burnie this Campus is just 20 minutes from the (K-12) Campus of
Leighland Christian School at Ulverstone. Students from the Burnie
Campus are able to continue their high school years at the Ulverstone
Campus.
The Burnie Campus offers a warm,
family orientated, friendly and safe school environment. The staff
work in close liaison with parents and enjoy parent involvement in
classrooms and other activities.
The PIP (Parents in Partnership)
group play an important role at this Campus ensuring parents have the
opportunity to have input into their child’s education. Our Playgroup
introduces students to the school community and runs weekly on a
Tuesday. Each year a Program known as Little Learners runs for 6
weeks as an introduction to school life for 3 year olds to 4 year
olds.
The school also provides an
avenue for involvement in sporting teams.
The Kinder orientation Program
runs each year in Term 3 to prepare students for school entry the
following year. Kindergarten is offered three days a week and
provides a sound introduction to Christian Education. The Prep to
Year 6 Program offers a varied curriculum. The morning focus is on
Literacy and Numeracy.
Music is a key feature of the
Primary Program at the Burnie Campus with all children encouraged to
participate in an additional musical challenge.
